2023 RAM 1500 vs 2023 Chevrolet Silverado

Which Is Better?

When it comes to choosing a new truck, you need to know the details.  Especially if you will be using the truck for hauling, driving over uneven terrain, or just cruising around the city.  Your choice will likely depend on what your needs are and your main use for your truck.  Knowing the differences between models that you are looking at is important, and two of the most popular trucks are the 2023 RAM 1500 and the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado.  We will look at the specs between the two to help make the decision easier for you when deciding which new truck will work best for you and your lifestyle.

The Interior

Since the interior is where you will spend most of your time, let's start there.  Most items come standard on both vehicles, but the RAM 1500 does offer cruise control and a compass as standard equipment.  The Silverado, however, only offers this as an optional amenity, meaning you will need to pay for a package that includes it.  For the seats, the RAM offers driver and front passenger heated seats, whereas it is not an option in the Silverado.  Both trucks offer AM/FM/Seek-scan radio, but the main difference here is that the RAM includes Satellite-prep and the Silverado does not.  Steering wheel audio controls are also optional in the RAM and not an option on the Silverado.  And the 2023 RAM 1500 has 6 speakers, whereas the Silverado only has 2.  Both vehicles come with standard bluetooth capability though.  When it comes to interior, the 2023 RAM 1500 wins out.  But all of this depends on your wants and needs, as some of these amenities might not be important to you.

Now let's look at the mechanical and specifications of both trucks.  Both offer 4-wheel disc brakes, sequential shift control, and an 8-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.  The difference is in the power, however.  Let's take a look.
