RAM 1500 Rebel: Towing Capacity and More | Greer, SC

The RAM 1500 is one of America's favorite cars. This is in no small part because Americans from Greer to San Diego are huge fans of pickup trucks. These vehicles combine utility, power, and style in a way that many find impossible to resist. Naturally then the RAM 1500 is well-regarded because it is the best half-ton pickup out there. It's not just us saying that: the RAM 1500 wins award after award. There are a wide variety of trims available for the 2022 RAM 1500, ranging from the entry-level Tradesman to the premier Limited trim. This article, however, is going to go in-depth on just one trim: the 2022 RAM 1500 Rebel - and it will tell you just how much the Rebel can tow when properly equipped.

What's Special about the RAM 1500?

The 2022 RAM 1500 Rebel is a beast of a truck. It has more advanced suspension than similar vehicles, like the Ford F-150. RAM knows that many of its customers use their trucks on the job site, or to haul a heck of a lot of cargo, so they also prioritize power. This shows across the different available powertrains for the RAM 1500.

Even the base level engine, a 3.6L V6 that makes 305 horsepower and 269 lb.-ft. of torque, is quite powerful. As one moves up through the three other available engines, however, it just gets better:

The 3.0L Ecodiesel V6 is environmentally friendly and manages to get 260 ponies and 480 lb.-ft. of torque! This is the only diesel option available for the RAM 1500.
The 5.7L Hemi V8 gets 395 horsepower! There's a reason that the Hemi V8 is a famous engine: they get a heck of a lot of power. If you opt for this engine then you'll be able to roar down the highway, or easily conquer broken terrain.
The premier engine for the RAM 1500 is the V8 Hemi with eTorque, a mild hybrid technology. This engine still makes 395 ponies but a properly equipped RAM 1500 Rebel can tow up to 12,750 pounds with this engine!

Why get the Rebel trim?

Greenville drivers will have to choose between the Level 1 technology package and the Level 2 package when they buy a 2022 RAM 1500 Rebel. The Level 1 package includes power heated mirrors that fold down, heated front seats and a steering wheel to match, an 8.4 inch touchscreen, a CD player, and dual-zone climate control.

If that wasn't impressive enough, then the Level 2 package may be the way for you to go. It takes everything from the Level 1 setup and adds:

  • Remote start
  • A 115-volt power outlet
  • Passive hands-free entry
  • Front and rear parking sensors

There are also a wide number of available features, ranging from a multifunction tailgate to a enlarged gas tank that holds 33 gallons (as opposed to the RAM 1500's standard 26 gallons).

The 2022 RAM 1500 Rebel: Conclusion

The RAM 1500, for good reason, is one of America's favorite trucks. It offers almost unbelievable power and enviable style for affordable prices. The Rebel trim has a refined interior that uses nicer materials than the entry-level 1500s, but it doesn't break the bank. Simpsonville drivers will love the technology included in this trim, as it makes one's life easier - you won't have to juggle groceries when looking for your keys with the hands-free passive entry - without being gratuitous. Perhaps best of all, it can tow up to 12,750 pounds when properly outfitted!
