New Cherokee Engine & Changes For 2019
Before we get into the individual trims, we're going to take a look at the 2019 Jeep Cherokee's engine options, specifically the all-new turbocharged option.
The standard engine is a 2.4l four-cylinder that produces 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque. There is also an optional 3.2l V6 at 271 horsepower and 239 lb-ft of torque. However, the new engine that's generating excitement is the all-new 2.0l turbo. At 170 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, it provides more powerful acceleration and is also more efficient.
